It all started in 2004 with a team of nine people.

With endless fundraising events, we raised $18,000

and were able to participate in the Susan G. Komen

60-mile 3-day walk in Arizona.

Then in 2007, my husband Gary was diagnosed with brain tumors. Over the next two years, I watched him endure multiple surgeries and complications, learn to walk again, and become a SURVIVOR.

 

Gary's diagnosis gave me the desire to do something BIGGER, so in 2011, I turned that drive into the 501(c)(3) origination of Lump Busters. My vision was to start my own charity so that WE could help MORE people not only touched by breast cancer, but also those with brain tumor and other cancer related illnesses.
